वास्तव में शाबर-मंत्र अंचलीय-भाषाओं से सम्बद्ध होते हैं, जिनका उद्गम सिद्ध उपासकों से होता है। इन सिद्धों की साधना का प्रभाव ही उनके द्वारा कहे गए शब्दों में शक्ति जाग्रत कर देता है। इन मन्त्रों में न भाषा की शुद्धता होती है और न ही संस्कृत जैसी क्लिष्टता। बल्कि ये तो एक साधक के हृदय की भावना होती है जो उसकी अपनी अंचलीय ग्रामीण भाषा में सहज ही प्रस्फुटित होती है। इसलिए इन मन्त्रों की भाषा-शैली पर विचार करने की आवश्यकता नहीं है। यदि आवश्यकता है तो वह है इनका प्रभाव महसूस करने की।
